Drake is VERY creative!!!  He loves to play with playdoh, color, paint, etc.  He's a very busy body, and loves to find new ways to do things!

Documenting Life, Week 26 - Laughing

Drake LOVES to laugh!!!   He is happy almost ALL the time, and when he gets to giggling or laughing, he almost can't stop!!!  And, I could listen to him laugh ALL day, everyday!!  I can still remember the first time he laughed and how is made my heart sing!!!  And, how it still melts my heart every time he laughs! :)

Documenting Life Week 26 - With a Special Family Member

Drake has SO many amazing family in his life!!  We are SO blessed to have such great family that loves Drake SO SO much!!!

Drake had been asking to go fishing for awhile, so not only did daddy take him, but his Uncle Coco and Poppa Mike to to go as well!!!  Drake LOVES spending time with daddy, Coco, and Poppa!

Drake had a GREAT Easter this year!!  He was old enough to know what finding Easter eggs was all about, and it was an awesome day on Easter this year!  So, it turned out to be such a fun day!!!  Drake had his friend Ariana to hunt eggs with!!

Documenting Life Week 22 - Playing with dad!

When daddy's around, Drake could care less who else is in the room!!!  Doesn't matter if it's been all day since Drake's seen daddy, or been just a couple minutes, Drake is in LOVE with daddy, and wants to be EXACTLY like him and do EVERYTHING daddy does!!!  And, I'm pretty sure that daddy loves EVERY second of it! :)

We decided that instead of an Easter basket this year, we would just take Drake to Incredible Pizza and have a fun filled day with mommy and daddy!!!  Well, it turned out mommy just watched and took pictures while daddy and Drake played!!  But, we all had SO much fun!! :)

Documenting Life: Week 21, Tackling a Challenge

Drake is becoming VERY independent these days, and wants to try to do everything himself! This particular day, I caught him trying to get some ice on his own! He was trying SO hard, and never asked for help or got frustrated! He was just a tad too short still to reach it, but I'm sure it won't be long until I'll be hearing ice coming from the fridge and my entire floor soaking wet! :)

Documenting Life: Week 20, A Favorite Toy

Well, since Christmas and Drake's birthday, our house has been overtaken with toys!!! It's hard to pick just ONE, but I think the one toy that Drake plays with at least once a day would be his new 4wheeler. He LOVES being "in charge" and pushing the button and cruising around the house! He is actually getting very good at steering and not running into the walls as much! :)

Documenting Life: Week 19 Ringing in the New Year

Well, we didn't really stay up late enough to ring in the New Year!! :) Drake was in bed around his normal bedtime, and I think mommy and daddy were in bed before 10:00 p.m.!! But, we did have a fun time at Nana's house playing with Christmas toys, and eating yummy food!! :)

TWO YEARS OLD!!!!!

Drake,

This weekend you turn TWO years old!!!! Mommy cannot believe that I will be spending this entire weekend having SO much fun having a birthday party with you at Mrs. Kara's house (your babysitter), then a big birthday bash with all your friends on Saturday, then your BIG day is Sunday!!!!

I can still remember going to the hospital about this time two years ago, getting checked in, and waiting all day for you to arrive. Seeing you for the first time was one of the most amazing moments in my life! I will never forget as soon as they gave you to me, you looked at me with those big, huge eyes, and I knew, at that very moment, that God had put me on earth to be your mommy!

This past month has been very exciting!

I look at you today, and I am overwhelmed at how amazing you are! I am blown away at the amount of things that you know, understand, and already believe in! I love the way you pray every night with daddy and I, how you like to tell everyone you are "two," how you can say your entire name, although it might be jumbled! :) I love how you spell your name "D...E...E...E," I love how every evening when daddy comes home you stop whatever you are doing and run to the door to see him. I love to see you and daddy play and wrestle and "hide" from mommy all the time! I love when you wake up in the mornings, from your big boy toddler bed, and come and find me, with those sleepy eyes and bunny in your arms and of course, the binky....still! :) Even when you decide to throw fits, or tell me "no way" when you don't want to do something, I love it that you have a mind of your own, and know that you can make your own decisions, even though those decisions sometimes result in time out! :)

Mommy and daddy are already SO SO proud of you and how much of a smart, mature, little boy you are!! We cannot wait to see what this next year holds for you! We can't wait to see you grow, learn new things, and enjoy every single moment with you!!! We thank the Lord daily for letting us be your mommy and daddy! We are beyond blessed to have you in our lives!!!
